James Beveridge

James Beveridge

James Beveridge cover, Watermelon Knights With Trueberry Hearts by Eric Bundy

James (but you can call him Jim) is a professional illustrator who creates big art – murals – as well as the tiny art required of e-book cover design. He has illustrated books for Douglas Smith.
He follows a process that takes him inside the story. In his words:

Up until now every piece I’ve created has been inspired by the prose. It is the stories themselves that inspire me …. I am a reader and it is the words and how they communicate to me the story that results in art.

Jim, a Canadian artist living in Edmonton, Alberta, has been drawing for most of his life.  He’s been drawing and selling Fantasy Art since elementary school. An early bloomer!
